Velkommen til AAU's kursus i databeskyttelsesloven. Kurset vil give dig en basisforståelse for loven og hvilken betydning den kan have for dit arbejde på AAU. Kurset dykker ikke ned i de enkelte processer og systemer hos eksempelvis HR, studieservice mv. Derimod klæder det dig på til at forstå rammerne for håndtering af persondata, og til at identificere situationer hvor loven finder anvendelse, og til hvilken vurdering du så kan foretage.
Da alle medarbejdere i en eller anden grad håndterer persondata, er det besluttet af Direktionen at kurset er obligatorisk for alle medarbejdere, herunder ledere på alle niveauer.
Hvilket kursusrum skal jeg vælge?
Du skal vælge det kursusrum som svarer til dit organisatorisk tilhørsforhold. Rummene med fakultetsbetengelser er kun til ansatte på fakultetskontorerne.
Hvor lang tid tager det at gennemføre?
Det tager cirka 1 time at komme igennem materialet.
Hvornår har jeg gennemført?
Du har gennemført når du har været igennem alle 8 moduler, og har været igennem alt materialet, inkl. spørgsmål. Hvis der er tekst der skal foldes ud for at læses, er dette også en forudsætning for at gennemføre.
Gemmes mine svar på quizspørgsmål, og hvad hvis jeg svarer forkert?
Spørgsmålene i materialet er der kun at du kan reflektere over hvad du har læst/set. Hvis du svarer forkert, kan du overveje at kigge materialet igen. Svarene gemmes ikke, du evalueres ikke på dem, ligesom de ikke har indflydelse på om du har gennemført kurset.
Kan jeg vende tilbage til kurset?
Ja, hvis du bliver nødt til at afbryde din gennemgang, eller ønsker at vende tilbage til materialet som reference, så kan du det.
Kurset åbner ikke Har du en blokering på at åbne nye vinduer, så vil du muligvis ikke få vist kurset uden at acceptere, at der åbnes et nyt vindue. Denne advarsel vises forskelligt afhængig af hvilken browser, du har valgt:
Internet Explorer viser typisk en advarsel med mulighed for at vise vinduet alligevel. Den er placeret under adresselinjen eller i bunden af Internet Explorer-vinduet.

I Safari kan blokering redigeres i menuen "Safari".

Welcome to Aalborg University’s course in the Data Protection Regulation. The course will give you a basic understanding of the law and what impact it may have on your work at AAU. The course does not go into the Regulation’s impact on individual processes or systems, or
organizational unit or departments such as Human Resources, Study Services etc. However, the course will enable you to understand the principles for handling personal data, and to identify situations where the law applies.
The Executive Management at AAU has decided that the course is mandatory for all members of staff, including managers at all levels, as most of the university staff handles personal data at some level or other.
All employees must have completed the course before the 25th of May 2018 or as soon as possible after this date. Which course should I choose?
Pick the course that corresponds to your organizational affiliation. The faculty courses are for staff at the faculty offices only.
How long does it take to complete? It takes about one hour to complete the course. When have I completed the course? You have completed the course, once you have been through the content and questions of all eight modules. If there is text to unfold as you go along, you must do so and read it in order to complete the
course.
Will my quiz answers be saved? What if I give the wrong answer? The questions in the course are only for reflection on what you have read/seen. If your answer is wrong, you might want to look at the material once more. The answers will not be saved, and there will not be any assessment of your replies. Likewise, your answers will not affect your completion of the course.
Can I return to the course? Yes. You can return to the material in case you are interrupted or wish to return to the material and use it as reference. The course does not show Be aware of pop up blockers: If your browser has a built-in pop up blocker you might not see the window with the course. However, your browser will probably warn you and display a notice for you to click on, to see the pop up. This is different
between browsers:
Internet
Explorer will probably show a warning either at the buttom of the window or below the address bar.
Chrome will show a small icon in the address bar with a small red mark.
Click the icon for options to display the window.
In Safari you can change options in the “Safari” menu
